Who are you?

I’m the Owner/Make-up Artist/Hairstylists/Designer/Wardrobe Stylists/Model for Dark Stars. I’m the one behind the scene that helps create all the master pieces. I do anything I can to make it be the best…. sometimes having to get in the shoots and be the scary creatures lol. Seriously I bet you did not know that lol.

What Started Dark Stars Photography

Well I think what got it going was that I wanted to build a portfolio for my make-up and Chris said he would be down for doing it because he’s always been interested in. So we didn’t think it would turn out like this. But it did work out really well because I get to do everything I love doing. I’ve always been into beauty and fashion ever since I was little. When i was like five years old I brought out all my mom’s fabric and started cutting it into outfits. I would also be the one doing my friends hair and make-up even if they didn’t want it done they would have it done lol. I just love creating. I love looking at someone’s face and seeing the beauty they have and creating it into a masterpiece. Faces are like a canvas to me I just can’t wait to paint them.

What best describes you?

I’m a fun and very caring person … a little too caring; sometimes that it gets me in trouble. I’m very understanding and also like Chris I can be pretty shy too. I’m very weird most of the time people don’t understand me but I guess that goes along with being an artist.

What is the future of DS?

I want to make it spread. I want people to know who we are and be inspired by us. I would love for Chris and I to be able to change the way people look at photography/modeling to be accepting of being out there, being edgy and having our creative and weirdness show. Also be accepting of anyone for who wants to model no matter what their size or shape they are. I want to show everyone that everyone can be beautiful.

What are your deepest inspirations?

First off ….. MAC MAKE-UP!!!!! Every time I go in there I get inspired. Also I LOVE LOVE watching fashions or any fashion reality shows. I have attended a lot of fashion shows and Mac Make up courses in California. A lot of stars inspire me the newest ones being Lady Gaga, Jeffree Star, Monica Belluci, Christina Aguilera , Paris Hilton (Especially in “Repo”) Dita Von Teese. Old vintage photos, EDWARD SCISSOR HANDS!!! Lol. And defiantly any Disney features. Old Disney though not the new stuff. Literally anything can inspire me, even an old rolled up ball of socks could. LOL

What’s your favourite photo set?

Alice in Wonderland with Emma, It was one of our first ones that we had a set and that I could take make up to another level. Also, Daniela dibs Pin up session at the beach.

Who’s your favourite model??

I would have to say the first model we had. When we first started it was Ginger, without her we wouldn’t be who we are today and where we have gotten. So my favourite is Ginger, I think it’s fair to say she is my favourite. But I do love everyone because like I said you guys are like my canvas, my masterpiece.

What do you want people to know when they work with DS?

That we are different, were caring, we are not like “Get you in, Get you out” we want everyone to have a positive experience. And have a lot of fun. Also to help boost confidence.
